"We're Barren Hope from haifa, israel.
we started playing in early 2012 a dark mixture of hardcore punk.
after playing in various local punk/metal acts such as Friday Night Sissy Fight, Knifed, Sckhinn, Ha'Bait Reik.
we decided to take a more sinister approach with our music, referring to the gloomier side of reality,
especially in a boiling place like israel, with everyday tensions, wars, corruption and crumbling society problems..."

You probably are already familiar with this band, as I've posted some of their live videos before. Now, after about 2 years of playing together, they've released their first album titled "Anaffa". As of now, it isn't available for download (but it's most likely will be very soon), yet you can stream it off their bandcamp page. Can't say it's very "blackened", but it still sounds quite good, and I recommend to check it out if you liked other Israeli blackened hardcore bands posted here. And for those who wondered if Barren Hope will ever tour Europe: yes, they plan to do it in summer this year, but exact dates and locations aren't known yet.

P.S. As I've already said, there'll be much less reviews from me in the future, and much more - from my co-editors. Unfortunately, writing reviews is very time-consuming, especially taking in consideration that I receive more and more demos every months. Of course it's great to see so many new RABM-friendly bands, but I just can't review all of their releases alone.
